The Opportunity

The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP). USM seeks an experienced, dynamic, and collaborative leader who will build on the CNHP’s positive momentum and champion its continued growth.

The Dean of CNHP is responsible for all operations of the college and provides leadership regarding research, graduate and undergraduate education at both the Hattiesburg and Gulf Park campuses. The four schools that comprise the CNHP include the School of Health Professions, the School of Leadership and Advanced Nursing Practice, the School of Professional Nursing Practice, and the School of Speech and Hearing Sciences. The CNHP is also home to the Gulf Park Health Center, The Children’s Center for Communication and Development, DuBard School for Language Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology Clinic, and Audiology Clinic. The CNHP provides programs to prepare health-care professionals at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels who are equipped to transform health care and improve the health and well-being of individual patients, families, communities and populations.
